Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) Sheet
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is known throughout the machined parts industry as one of the toughest, highest performing engineering plastic materials on the market today. PEEK is a high-performance thermoplastic that is tough, durable, firm, and creep resistant. It offers excellent thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance as well as excellent resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue. Its ability to run at high continuous temperatures up to (480º F) without permanent property degradation along with stable electrical properties makes PEEK an excellent alternative to fluoropolymers in aggressive environments. PEEK has also been shown to exhibit very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame.
In addition to standard unfilled virgin grade PEEK there are a number of filled versions that enhance specific material properties.
Unfilled virgin grade PEEK
Standard Virgin Grade PEEK is FDA compliant making it appropriate for use in laboratory and medical environments.
Glass Filled PEEK
Has been reinforced with glass fibers, which significantly reduces its expansion rate and increases the flexural modulus. This makes it ideal for applications that require improved stability, strength, and stiffness at temperatures above 300º F.

Bearing Grade PEEK - Also known under the name Ketron® HPV is filled with a proprietary blend of carbon fibers, graphite and PTFE for lubrication to create an engineering plastic that withstand extreme high pressure and velocity.
